Our Philosophy

Positive living is the key focus of our personal and professional philosophies.  We believe that every day counts and by being fully present in the tranquil and thoroughly nurturing space of The Beeches, people can view their life and explore new interests and ways of being that will serve them well in the moment and in the future.   The Beeches is a place to simply “be” and we feel that it is our life work to hold and care for this beautiful and transformational space, welcoming guests to step into it with ease.

Jude is passionate about supporting people to find a natural balance in their life and time and encourages guests to take moments or hours to pause while on their soul journey.  She believes that this allows us to take personal responsibility for our holistic health and well being and therefore facilitates positive feelings of fulfilment and joy.  Whether it’s sitting in the garden watching the red squirrels play or feeling the warmth of capable hands massaging a weary back ~ it’s all about energy.  She delights in supporting ways of being that help us to feel at ease and balanced so that we can fully engage and enjoy each and every day of our life.

Dave takes people into stunningly beautiful natural environments to witness and explore new places and open spaces.  The River Spey is where Dave’s heart is happiest and those who chose to share a canoeing experience with him are sure to be moved and smitten by the playful majesty of the Spey and Dave’s passion for this beautiful river.  He enchants everyone with his tales of the mountains and rivers. Activities facilitated by Dave do include some ‘skills learning’ but are more about being in nature ~ witnessing all its rhythms, moods and seasons.

Together, Jude and Dave live and work at The Beeches, promising a warm welcome when you choose to stay and be brushed by the magic of their Highland haven of tranquillity.
