About the Beeches

The Beeches is a delightfully appointed Victorian residence situated in a quiet location on the fringes of Newtonmore in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.   The Train Station, Bus Stop, Village heart, Golf Course and River Spey are all within short walking distance.  The mature garden wraps the house beautifully in ancient trees and with striking mountainous landscapes beyond, it is well positioned for both convenience and stunning beauty. 

This traditional stone built dwelling house was built in 1897 and is named in light of the predominance of lofty Beech trees adorning the mature gardens and Beech lined private drive. Research has advised us that The Beech tree is renowned in nature for its protective and nurturing qualities.  It is said to facilitate the release of old patterns and fixed ideas that may be limiting our progression through life.  The Beech tree, in all its seasons, encourages us to absorb life’s lessons with joy and gain wisdom to formulate positive ways for the future.  

Jude and Dave Craig feel that their life and work at The Beeches resonates with this theory and   believe that the house is very aptly named.
